Debra Ann Rutherford / Y'syahl

Of Penn Hills, formerly of the North Side, age 64, transitioned to Paradise on Monday, May 6, 2024, where she was reunited with her parents, Floyd Rutherford and Carolyn Hopkins, and her brother Floyd Mitchell Rutherford. Beloved wife of Robert Spence. Loving mother of Donald Rutherford / Benayah, Tomeka Rutherford, Lakesha Marshall, Joy Mack, and Roberta Hopkins. Sister of Shawn Rutherford and Joseph Rutherford. Debra will be missed by a host of grand and great-grand children, extended family, friends, and spiritual family. She was a caregiver, food bank volunteer, and community activist, and also a woman of faith, principles, and moral values. Debra was the matriarch of her family and community and cared for everyone around her.

Friends and family are invited to attend graveside services at Penn Forest Natural Burial Park, 121 Colorado Street, Verona PA 15147, on Wednesday, May 8, at 1:00pm.
